Suggest Alternative Medicine For Burns And To Prevent Scars

My niece burnt her arm pretty bad on a camping trip & is asking for remedies to help the burning & help keep from scarring. Of course a couple of us have recommended seeing a dr. to get Silvadene but I m not sure she s going to. a little part of the burn has busted the rest is totally just a bad burn (reddish purple color). From the picture, can t tell if it s blistered yet. IS THERE A PRODUCT OVER THE COUNTER THAT S EVEN CLOSE TO SILVADENE CREAM?

Hi..thanks for yor question here in this forum...
1st of all i want to ask how old this burn is...if its fresh burn means wound is still there then i will advise you to wash the wound frequently...apply antibiotic plus steroid ointment like betnovit N..or bacitracine mixed with betnovit...give her antiallergic like fexofenadine or citrazine and painkiller like ibuprofen...also give her healthy food and extra fluids..do massage with metgel once wound is healed to minimize the scar..
If wound is heald then use metgel for massage twice a day...apply sunblock when going out in the sun...hope you got the answer...thanks
