One consultant diagnosed my 8 year old with lichen sclerosis and prescribed eumovate steroid ointment. After several additional flare ups, a second doctor diagnosed A typical eczema. She is currently mid a flare up, but only the skin around her back passage is irritated. I have given her worm liquid just in case. All her underwear is cotton, washed in the mildest washing powder and rinsed in vinegar then rinsed again. She is awaiting an appt for patch testing for allergic reactions. The last doctor prescribed a hydrocortisone ointment but it doesn t seem to do much.
