Suggest Alternative Medication For Clicking Sound In Ears When Swallowing
Hello, I have had a clicking sound when I swallow/speak for the last 2 years. Use of steroid inhaler or allergy medicine has not affected the sound. It is More on the right side of my nose but does not appear to be in the nasal cavity itself almost behind it.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of clicking sound in ears when swallowing which occur due to condition known as eustachian tube dysfunction. There can be other reasons also like ear wax and otitis media .Otitis media is an accumulation of fluid in the middle ear.I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist again for proper examination . and discuss the above two possibilities .Doctor may clean the ear to remove ear wax . or prescribe antibiotics for at least 10 days along with decongestants . Doctor should also give proper treatment for cold and flu , because these can be contributing factors in causing ear infection . Keep your ears dry , cover them while bathing and keep warm compresses on external ear 2-3 times a day , it will evaporate water from ear .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
