Suggest Alternative Medication For Hydrocodone 10/325
November I had pancreatitis and I had bilirubin in my urine and my liver enzymes were moderately high. my gastroenterologist recommended that I go back to pain management vs over the counter at home relief. The doctors put me back on hydrocodone 10 / 325 my pancreatitis did disappear but my liver enzymes went down but are still above the normal range should I ask my doctor at pain management for an alternative without the Tylenol. Thank you. my Asl is at 68 my ATL is at 71curretly.
hello, i can understand your concern. its a good sign that the pancreatitis has disappeared and the liver enzymes have gone down. the values you have have mentioned for the enzymes ast and alt are not to be worried of. we consider them to be elevated only after they have doubled. since you are in the healing stage the values would take a few more weeks to come down completely. do not worry about these. you can continue to take hydrocodone + paracetamol as prescribed. donot worry that paracetamol would lead to liver failure in your case. that happens over years of chronic use. cut down the habit of alcohol and smoking if have any of these. eat foods which are easily digestible (low in fat) drink plenty of fluids. hope you are satisfied with the response. feel free to ask further questions. thanks for choosing HCM
