My husband has diabetes and parkinsons and high blood pressure. He takes metformin 1000 mg 2 times a day and 55 units of Lantus in 1 shot at night. Our insurance is not paying much for his insulin any more and we will have to change. It used to be we paid $75 a bottle and we needed 1 1/2 bottles a month. now our copay is $214 a bottle. We cannot afford that and need to change to a cheaper insulin. Could you tell us what you think we should change to? The insurance does not have a formulary, you just type in a kind and amount and it will tell me how much they are. I just dont know of other kinds of insulin. Gay
