General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Silverex ointment contains silver nitrate.Other ointment brand containing silver nitrate can be used. I would suggest resting the patient in an air conditioned cool room to reduce the pain and burning sensation. The ointment can also be cooled in refrigerator for a few hours to reduce any burning sensation on application.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
