Suggest Alternate Medication For Seroquel

Hi Ive just started take cymbator 60 mg also I take 250mg Seroquel & 1 45 mg advanza also hooked on Karma have been in hospital for the 3 weeks on weekend leave now,but I put on 2 kg of weight in the first week that they have increased my Seroquel.Not happy. What other medication I can take if I get off the Seroquel, Im Bi Polar 2

Thanks for your concern about your medications.

Seroquel (Quetiapine) is an atypical anti-psychotic. This can be replaced with Olanzapine, which is also very good for Bipolar Affective Disorder
Type 2. You can voice your issues with a psychiatrist and ask him to give you a low dose of Topiramate to combat weight gain. Olanzapine also causes weight gain.

If you are not happy with Seroquel for reasons of weight gain only, and not it's other undesirable side effects, then you can take Topiramate with Seroquel.
