Suggest A Remedy For Side Effects From Estrogen Supplement
Hello! I am 48 years old and going through menopause. I take a OTC Estrogen Supplement. My breast or very sore, both my ankles and feet have edema and hurt, my stomach is like im 6 months pregnant. I think im having a side effect from the estrogen. My body just feels like a water balloon. Do you have any suggestion. I am also, 65 pounds overweight.
The symptoms you are experiencing like bloated stomach, swollen feet are from side effects of estrogen only. It is possible that you are taking estrogen in the amount that is more than the required amount.
I would advise you to stop taking the OTC estrogen pills on your own and consult a gynecologist. He/she may physically examine you and then prescribe you blood tests to determine estrogen level in your blood. Based on the test results, medicines with proper dosage can be prescribed.
I hope this information helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. I wish you feel better soon!
Best, Dr. Viraj Shah
