Suggest A Remedy For Cough And Cold Associated With Asthmatic Bronchitis

I get Asthmatic Bronchitis a few times a year. I currently get a cough associated with it that drives me crazy. Coughing through the night and a lot during the day as well. I use both Symbicort and Albuterol to help control the symptoms. Is there anything more I can try? I am getting over a cold and am experiencing these symptoms right now. I have been like this since I was a child. I am currently 42 years old.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain as you are getting over through cold, it seems that the coughing is due to upper respiratory tract infection or common cold as the symptoms of coughing are present as you have cold..
You can take anti allergics like Benadryl and along with it you can take cough expectorant like Gueifenesin and cough suppressant like Dextromethorphan..
Do warm saline gargles..
Sip on plenty of warm water..
Avoid spicy and chilled foods..
The symptoms will start resolving in a week but if there is no improvement consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and he can advise you investigations like throat swab culture, sputum culture and chest x ray to rule out the exact cause of the symptoms and if needed he can advise you a course of antibiotics..
