Suggest A Laxative For Rectal Nerve Damage

I have recently developed from diabetes rectal nerve damage. I have tried OTC stool softeners, a suppository, 4 days of Miralax and a laxative. For 1 month I have not been eating solid foods, since having tooth extractions in anticipation of dentures. What is a good laxative?
