Suggest A Good Alternative Of Opana

I have been on Opana for many years. Now that the FDA has stopped it, my doctor has switched me to OxyContin. Unfortunately it does not work as well & makes me extremely tired, takes away my energy. I also take Oxycodone 15mg for break thru pain. I need something stronger than the OxyContin, that does not make me tired. They are still making Opana, but the office has taken it off its database. What works as well? What would you recommend? The doctor has recommended Morphine

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You can try other analgesics like Gabapentin which is quite effective in pain conditions. Th other choices are Tramadol and Ultracet. If the pain persist despite taking routine analgesics you can try Ketamine sublingual drops which is considered as one of the best and effective analgesic. Bit it is available only through prescription.

Wishing you good health.

Thanks
