Suggest A Diet Plan To Manage Fecal Incontinence

I have recently been treated for c diff. My culture came back negative but I am still experiencing fecal incontenence . I have a neurogenic bowel due to a spinal cord injury. my friend has recommended benefiber to help firm up my stools. are there any dietary foods that can help as well?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

In culture test, if this is an infection then it has to be treated with specific antibiotic and some time one has to take the antibiotic for long time, if no organism is found then infection is out of the question. In diet, you can have a balance diet with less amount of fat, a low calorie diet. Have more vitamin and mineral supplements.
