Suffering With Mild Acne, Pimples Do Not Form A Head, Instead Cave Inwards. Remedy?

So I am a fifteen year old girl suffering from what my dermatologist calls mild acne , I think it is muchhhh worse! Lately I have been having a problem with pimples that rise off of my skin but instead of coming to a head they cave inwards. In the past they have been easy to pop and get rid of but now they won t pop and they refuse to be covered with makeup and it leaves me looking horrible(by the way they are only on my forehead ). What do I do???? Yes I have differin and I m on soladin and I have a routine but nothing is getting rid of them.

Hi,
You might be having what is known as comedonal acne, where one gets multiple tiny skin colored lesions or white heads.
To treat the same
Use a salicylic acid based face wash
Use a mild water based non comedogenic moisturiser.
Continue application of adapalene gel
you can consult your doctor to start isotretinoin in low doses as it gives good response in comedonal acne.
You can even get them extracted by RF cautery by your doctor.
Taking few sessions of salicylic acid peels would help too.

Hope that answers your query.

Hi, you have acne which is quiet common at your age.
It occurs due to hormonal changes that your body is undergoing at this age .due to formation of androgens , they stimulate the oil glands to make more of oil which collects in the duct and clogs the ores and thus black heads and white heads are formed .
they further progress to acne. so follow these things-
-use a salisylic facewash twice a day
-get blackhead and white head extraction regularly.
-dont squeeze or pick the pimples, doing this may lead to pigmentation and scars which takes long time to go.
-aviod junk food
-for active acne apply clindamycin2% gel in morning and combined with adapalene at night
-for scars use retino A at night on forehead
use if for a month or so if it doesnt help contact your doctor to start oral azithromycin
