You are suffering from allergy hence you have been prescribed montair lc to which you have responded favourably. You can continue taking it for some more time as it is a good medicine with minimal side effects. It is prescribed for allergy and asthma is an allergic disorder. You may add a nasal spray like flixonase or duonase for your nasal allergy which will control your runny nose.

It is not advisable to take anti anti-allergic for longer period. Instead of the you can try some home remedies. One of the effective home remedies for your problem is castor oil.
Castor oil: 5 drops of castor oil in half cup of any fruit juice or plain water, and taken empty stomach in the morning is very effective for allergies in nasal passages.
Also you need to rule out anatomical deformities such as deviated nasal septum (DNS) or nasal polyps that may cause the problem. Consult ENT. He will rule out these causes by taking X-ray.
