Suffering From Stroke, High BP, Fluid Building Up And Swelling In Brain. Chances Of Recovery?

One of my good friends just suffered what they say is a massive stroke. He is 28 years old with no health problems other than slightly high blood pressure. They say the left side of his brain is dead. He started showing signs of improvement yesterday but today they put him on a ventilator, saying that their is fluid building up and swelling of the brain. I would like an honest opinion on his survival chances and any input you may have

Hi,
Am sorry about your friend.

With the history, the stroke may be hemorrhagic stroke. There may be re perfusion injury also. Since according to doctor's opinion his left side of brain is dead and he is in ventilator now with fluid building up and swelling of the brain the chance of survival is less. If survived, according to my experience he will be bed ridden with loss of many functions. Follow your doctor's advice.

Wish your friend faster recovery.

Regards
