Hi and thanks for the query,

It s important you approached a dermatologist. This consultation is of utmost importance for knowing the exact cause and mechanism of your joint disease is key in prescribing an appropriate drug to manage these symptoms.

The tests you cited to are tests required to exclude rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, mixed connective tissue disease, and systemic diseases and vasculitis that could explain not only your joint symptoms, but give a clue to the skin manifestations you are experienced.

Laboratory tests coupled with a good clinical evaluation, with some X rays and at times MRI s could give a very clear and specific picture of what is going on.

I suggest continuing to stick and to cooperating with your treating dermatologist, till a definitive treatment and management plan are found, instituted and followed up.

Thanks and hope this helps. Kind regards.
