Dear friend,

Thanks for posting your query on this website. I can fully appreciate your concern for problem.

From the description, it seems that you have a condition called "Fissure in ano", that is, rupture with infection of the delicate lining in the rectal lumen. Please note if there is a streak of blood over the hard stool, the diagnosis would be confirmed.

Please take the following treatment :-

1. Plenty of water > 2.5 litres daily
2. High fibre diet --> salads in liberal amounts.
3. Milk of Magnesia 4 teaspoonful daily at bedtime for at least 15-20 days.
4. Cap Doxycycline 100mg TWICE daily for 10 days.
5. 2% Lignotex jelly - applied inside the rectum (with the help of the nozzle enclosed within the pack) JUST before and after passing each stools ---> continue this for 10-15 days.
6. Anovate Ointment - to be applied inside the rectum THRICE daily for 10-14 days.

MOST IMPORTANT PRECAUTION : AVOID CONSTIPATION.

I am highly optimistic that you will certainly benefit from the advice.

May I assure you that I am always available for your assistance and will try my best to cure your condition to the best of my experience and knowledge.

Please feel free to revert back to me in case of further clarifications, if any.

HAVE A NICE DAY AND A SPEEDY RECOVERY.

Fond Regards,

Dr.(Col) R Karanwal
