Suffering From Diarrhea & Fever

Hello Dr.
This is BM from India, actually 3.5 years old daughter is suffering from loose motions and 102 F. degrees fever. Now she is on medication, we are giving Nor-metrogyl syrup and crocin syrups 5. ml on 6hrs interval. We suspect there is some infection, could you suggest some remedy ASAP?/ Thanks in advance

Hi...Thank you for consulting in Health Care magic. It seems your kid is having viral acute watery diarrhea. Unless the kid's having low urine output or very dull or excessively sleepy or blood in motion or green bilious vomiting...you need not worry. Antibiotics might worsen if unnecessarily used causing antibiotic associated diarrhea. I suggest you use zinc supplements (Z&D drops 1ml once daily for 14 days) & ORS (Electrobion small sachet mixed with 200ml water and given sip by sip)... Hope my answer was helpful for you.
