Hi Monila
Welcome to HealthcareMagic.
The process of constipation is cyclical.Drinking less water makes the stools hard and so constipation occurs. When constipated , food stays in gut for long time and more water is absorbed. Then stool turns hard and causes constipation again.
To break this process , you should take a laxative. You should take adequate water (5-6 liters/day ) and soft diet with high fiber.
Hope i answered your question. If you need more information feel free to ask me.
Take care

Welcome to Healthcare Magic

There is probably problem in your diet. Stop eating junk food, mixture, colas, pastries, fried food, fatty food, spicy food. Eat plenty of fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables everyday and drink plenty of water as this clears digestive system and brings bulk to stool and proper bowel movement. If you don;t get proper stool after 2 days, you can put 2-4 tsp of Ispaghulla husk in one glass of warm water and drink, then you will get proper stools. It is a natural method, not medicine. Avoid stress, do Yoga, Pranayam everyday. Get 6-8 hours of sleep. Don't spend much time in front of computer for long hours. Take breaks in between and do walking. Everyday do brisk walking for 40 minutes a day which improves overall health and makes bowel motion good as well.
