Suffering From Blood Pressure, Diabetes, Post Fever Weakness. What Investigations Should Be Done?

Hello Doctor, My father is 65 yrs old and has high blood pressure and is also slightly diabetic. A few days back he was down with fever for 2 days and now is extremely weak. He had taken Calpol tablets for lowering his fever. Could you please advise what blood tests should he do in order to investigate/treat his present post fever weakness. Thanks a lot Riya

Dear friend, welcome to HCM !

Fever in a diabetic should not be taken lightly.
He should see his physician.
Get CBC, electrolytes, BSL, urea, creatinine, urine routine, (Xray chest , if there was cough, cold, fever etc )
Physician on examination may modify this list as per findings.

Take care and please keep me informed of your progress.
Good Luck !
I hope to have answered your query satisfactorily.
