Suffer From High Sugar Levels And Hypertension. Taking Losartan Potassium. How To Reduce The Blood Sugar Levels?

Hi i am a 59 yr old male with a gfr of 62, hdl 47, glucose 125 and hypertension 150/90. I am taking 25mg of losartan potassium per day. my gfr has held steady since 2007. I just began losartan potassium one year ago and have i am due for a blood test soon, my most recent as per above info was 6/9/12. Should i be concerned and what can i so on my own?
