Suffer From Hashimoto S Hypothyroidism. Very High TSH Levels. Feeling Lazy. Need To Medication Lifelong? Any Side Effects?
Hi I m suffering from hashishmoto hypothyroidism taking thyroxin 50mg daily n 75 mg twice weekly for last 9 months but this week test report revealed my TSH level about 12,000 which is thrice high its limit wat should I do I feel lazy at work Dr says ill hv to take thyroxin tab throughout my life I m 35 years old.does this problem effects libido ie sexual desire?plz sugest me dosage
It is unusual for patients to be off medications with Hashimoto's thyroiditis. Most cases treatment is lifelong. As long as you are taking proper dose of medication, there is no side effect with these medications.
As far as libido is concerned, a proper thyroid replacement would only have a positive effect on libido and sexual function.
