Stray Dog Bite, Dog Normal. Leg Washed With Dettol Soap, Turmeric And Oil Paste. Advise?

A STREET DOG BITE UPPER PART OF MY LEG. THIS BITE IS NOT VERY DEEP AND IS LIKE A SCRATCH.
DOG IS NORMAL AND CAME SUDDENLY WHILE I WAS DOING MY EVENING EXERCISE TODAY AROUND 7.30 PM. I HAVE WASHED MY LEG WITH DETTOL SOAP AND PUT AYURVEDIC HALDI AND OIL PASTE.. I SHALL BE GLAD IF U WILL PLEASE ADVISE ABOUT PRECAUTIONS AND MEDICINE.

Thank you for the query.

If this was a unknown for you dog, you should get vaccinated for rabbies. And the dog should be under observation.
The other thing is that such wounds are usually badly infected by many bacteria. And you need to be prepared that it will get swollen and painful in a day or two. In such case, surgical incisions of the skin might be necessary as well as bacteriologic tests of the wound. Antibiotics might be necessary as well.
So please be aware of pain, swelling, tensed skin, discharge from the wound. In such case you should see a surgeon as soon as possible.
In a meanwhile washing it with water and soap is the best you can do by your own.
