Stopped Taking Zetia Since It Was Causing Pain In Legs. Cramps During Nights. Rotator Cuff Surgery Done. How Long The Adverse Effect Of Zetia Persists?
I just stopped taking zetia because my legs, knees, ankles have been aching so bad at night and after google I have read many others suffer this. I cramp at night and it hurts really horrible bad behind my knees. I had rotator cuff surgery 9 weeks ago, it didn t hurt as bad as this. How long does it take for the adverse side effects of Zetia to go away? I am really scared.
I am so sorry to hear about these side effects that you suffered. For real, stopping the drug is the single and most important thing towards addressing the condition. Taking pain medications and drinking enough water would help control the pains and accelerate healing. The time it takes to heal is highly variable from one person to the other but it generally takes weeks to get resolved.
Please, consider intensifying lifestyle measures like reduced fats intake and increased exercise to help you in this battle against high lipids levels. Also, talk with your doctor and ask if he would be considering other drug choices for you.
I hope you find this helpful.. Thank you for using our services and feel free to ask for more information if need be. I wish you well. Dr. Ditah, MD
