Sticky, Brown Stools With Long Strings And Small Round Balls In Stools. Could This Be Undigested Medicine?

I have been having sticky brown stools. They settle to the bottom of the stool, and once when I flushed, part of a stool flushed, but the remaining did not, and a long thin string stretched between them. I had a partially unsuccessful colonostophy{sorry, my spelling is not the best} because I could not completely manage the bowel prep {gastric bypass}. Still, the doctor said that things were normal, but wants to do it again in 3 years just to be safe. I have also noticed small white round balls in my stool, could this be undigested medications? I take effexor extended==sorry more bad spelling.. Thank you for your time.

Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
The type of stools you are getting might be due to the infection, or some difference in the colon due to the surgery.
I advise you to avoid milk, milk products, wheat, barley, etc to be on safe side to avoid the gluten and lactose intolarance.
I usually prescribe to my patients with such symptoms omeprazole, lactic acid bacilli, and enzyme preparations.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery.Thank you.
