Stents Inserted Due To Angina Attack. Felt Numb, High Blood Pressure. Medication Given. BP Not Normal. Hospitalization Necessary?

My mother had 3 stents put in this past February due to a major angina attack - she just woke up at 3am this morning feeling numb all over her body - we took her blood pressure and its 180/97. We immediately gave her blood pressure medication (which the Cleveland Clinic had taken her off of) We called her doctor - He told us to watch the BP and call him in 40 minutes. Her BP is going down - it s now 179/83 (but obviously still high) If our doctor does not recommend going to the hospital, do you agree?

Dear Sir/ madam
Welcome to HCM.
An absolute value of 179/83 mmHg may not seem alarming to your doctor Since he is looking after her regularly and knows her in detail. More important is if she has any trouble like chest pain/ shortness of breath/ vertigo/ defect in any movement of body part/ slurred speech/ altered mentation/ altered consciousness ? If there is any symptom or her BP rises, please go to ER else you may wait to call your doctor in next 40 minutes.
Hope this helps.
Sincerely
