Sprained Right Ankle, Foot Burns Across Top, Goes Numb Around Toes. What Is It ?

Hello Doctor. So, I fell at work on 9/7. Sprained my right ankle and have been out of work on workers comp. Saw an Orthopedist on 9/18. More xrays were taken, also had this done at er on 9/7. Well, I had a cast and crutches. Now I have a boot and crutches. Told to come back to Orthopedist in 2 weeks, no work... Told the doc, my foot burns across the top, it goes numb around my toes, and I cant stand anything to touch it, especially not water pressure. What could this be?
