Soreness, Swelling On The Outer Part Of Ankle, Pain On Bending, Using Staircase, Have Limped Walk, No Injury. What Could Be The Cause?

The outside of my ankle is very sore and very swollen. I can walk but it hurts when it bends. I do run/walk 5km a day. This has been bothering me for a week now. And now the top of my foot is starting to swell too. I don t recall injuring it at all. Going up and downstairs really hurts. I can walk but it hurts. Walk with a bit of a limp. By the end of the day I can hardly walk.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
I would suggest you to get X ray and blood investigation like ESR and CRP. It can be a case of ankle synovitis and effusion. I would also recommend you to start rest, ice fomentation and compression bandage. You will feel better.
