Sore Tongue, Salty Mouth, Burning Lips. Total Thyroidectomy Normal. Medication?

Hi, I m a 43 yr old woman that had a total thyroidectomy approximately 2 years ago. For the past couple of weeks I ve noticed a gradually worsening salty taste in my mouth. This morning it is bad enough to make my lips feel burnt and my tongue sore. Do you think this is related to the medication I ve been on that acts as an artificial thyroid ?

Take plenty of fluids and nutritious diet.
Vitamin becosules, iron supplements can be administered.
