Sore Knee, Headache, Stretching Pain After Falling. Advice?

Hi my daughter and myself as well as my son and fiance we're all horsing around last night and my daughter went to jump on my back and hit me behind the ear with her knee. Its sore to touch, no swelling, minor headache today, no nausea last night, but when I yawn, or stand up fast, or when first getting up after laying down I feel a throb kinda, it doesn't really hurt just feels strange. No vision problems, dialation is good, and neck has minor. "Stretching type" pain when turning far. Thanks for your help

Hi,
From history it seems that you might be having strain of neck muscles giving rise to this problem.
Take analgesic with muscle relaxant tablet for 2-3 days.
Apply some analgesic cream locally.
Ok and take care.

Hello and welcome to HCM,

Let me assure you that I have understood your problem and it can be treated. These are a few things you can do:

1. Since you got hurt, you might have got a minor injury which is common and in all probability it will get better in four to five days.

2. If you have pain which is severe and causing difficulty in swallowing then you must take a pain killer like diclofenac twice daily after food. Your doctor will know about this.

3. If you develop fever or generalized body ache then you may also need an antibiotic such as amoxycillin-clavulanate 625 for five days in consultation with your doctor.

4. Apply hot fomentation over the area of injury after making sure that there is no open wound.

5. If your hearing is muffled or blocked then get an audiometry and get back to me with the results.

Wait for a few days for the pain and swelling to become better or else consult an ENT doctor

take care and get well soon

Most probably you have a neck muscle trauma behind the ear. If there is no swelling, then it is usually not severe. It should improve with medications- both topical & oral analgesic-antispasmodics. Better to get an Xray Cervical spine done.
