Small Bump On The Back Of Head Getting Bigger And Irritated, Oozes Yellow Liquid, Feel Lethargic. Cause And Remedy?
I have a small bump on the back of my head amongst my hair. I thought it was an infected hair. After attempts to remove the hair, the bump has become bigger and more irritating. Now it s a large bump and very painful around the area of the bump. Large amounts of yellow liquid comes out when I squeeze around the area. I have also been lethargic and somewhat chilled. What could be causing this and what should I do?
Furuncle
Hello
Welcome!
I would be pleased to answer your question .
I would suggest that you will need to get it checked from the Dermatologist ,
It looks like a furuncle which is an inflammation and infection of the Hair follicles . They get inflamed to form the kind of swelling and discharge that you have described .
You will need to take the antibiotic in the form of a prescription from the Dermatologist as early as possible to prevent any form of infectious complications like septicemia . Blood test to rule out Diabetes would be suggested.
Thanks and take care
