Sinus, Have Constant Post Nasal Drip With Varied Colors, Droopy Eyelid On Tilting The Head, Feeling Of Stiff Eye Muscles Usually In The Morning. What Could This Be?
I have constant post nasal drip which varies in colour, sometimes brown and particularly bad in the morning. I often suffer from sinus problems also however more recently I have felt (again mostly the morning) that my left eyelid is drooping and feel it more when I tilt my head drop but look upwards. It s like the muscles at the back of eye feel stiff. What might this be??
Hello,
Chronic rhinosinusitis is a difficult condition to live with and in your case, allergies need to be excluded to ensure they are not worsening your sinuses. Skin prick tests is the recommended test.
Also, you need a CT Paransal sinus scan to delineate the extent of the problem along with HRCT Chest to ensure there is no lung scarring (i.e., bronchiectasis). Droopy left eyelid with background sinusitis can be serious side effects (more if you have diabetes) and therefore an urgent CT is necessary.
Fungal sinusitis would be one possibility.
Antibody levels need to be checked to ensure your immune system is working well and that immunodeficiency is not the cause for your repeated sinus troubles.
Hope that helps.
