Simultaneous Feeling Of Hot/cold, Hurting Chest/throat An Hour After Upper Endoscopy (biopsy Taken)/colonoscopy In A Patient With MTHFR Mutation?
Hi Doc, Today I had an upper endoscopy and had biopsies taken from my stomach and duodenum, I also had a colonoscopy with no biopsies taken. I felt fine for the first hour or so after coming home. Then I became extremely cold and hot at the same time. By the time I checked my temperature (which was ranging between 101.1-102.8 and is now about 101 still) the endocentre I got the procedure at was already closed. My chest and throat hurt along with quite a headache. I m not sure what I should do. I also have the homozygous MTHFR mutation making me prone to blood clots. I am currently having a lot of anxiety. I just want to know if any of this is normal?
Hi. Nothing of this is normal. Rush to the Emergency room and get checked by a Doctor for clinical examination of pulse , a blood pressure and an examination of abdomen and chest. There is a possibility that this is not related to the endoscopies, but surely need to see that there is no perforation as this becomes life-threatening if not recognized in time and treated.
