Should Training Be Avoided Post Foot Injury?

Hi, I landed on the outside of my foot badly while kick boxing. Could hear some muscles creak. The leg was swollen immediately. Xray show no fracture. The swelling and pain is going down now. Its been 4 days since the incident and I do not feel much pain now, just so minor discomfort. I wanted to know when could I resume my training again.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It would be best to wait for at least 2 weeks from the time of injury, some persons need up to 6 weeks but it would depend on the extent of the injury.

During this time you would need to rest it whenever possible. The use of anti inflammatory medication would hasten recovery.
Eg naproxen, cataflam, ibuprofen

I hope this helps
