Should The Medicines Be Continued If The Diabetes Is Under Control?
Sir I am 31/ journalist and i came to know about my diabetes during my coverage in uttrakhand calamity last year, which was 520 mg dl, i consultated a doctor he reffered a medicine Geminor M1 just once a day before breakfast. My diabetes is under control usually but do i need to continue this medicine or change my medicine, as it has been a year i am on this medicine. What could be the side effects of this medicine.

Hello, Welcome to HCM I understand your concerns.Although your sugar levels are under control,you need to continue the tablets.Any antidiabetic medications should not be stopped abruptly.The dose of the drug should be tapered slowly depending on the sugar levels.
So,i would suggest you to consult your treating physician and get an advice on decreasing the dosage based on your sugar levels.
Also stick on to good dietary management along with good exercises in the form of brisk walk for 30 minutes daily.
