Should Near And Far Infrared Saunas Be Avoided By People With Pacemakers?

I am a healthy active 61 year old male with a pacemaker implanted as a result of bradycardia. With respect to sauna use, it is my understanding that regular dry saunas are generally ok to use, but I should avoid both near and far infrared saunas. Is my understanding correct?

Hello,
Thanks for trusting Healthcaremagic!
I have gone through your query and I can understand your concerns.
It is better to avoid infrared saunas in a pacemaker in situ patient. The radiations from saunas can interfere your pacemaker activity. So try to avoid saunas.
Wishing you good health.

Dr Shinas
