Should Intake Of Tamiflu Be Stopped To Avoid Diarrhea And Stomach Pain?

I have been taking tamiflu for a couple days now and have one pill left. I have had diarrhea for the last 3 days every 1-2 hrs. Stomach pain and just today had blood in my stool. Should I stop taking it or what should I do? Btw; I haven t really felt any better. I just don t have the chills and temperature.

Hi,

This much worse diarrhea is unlikely to be caused by the drug. This looks more like an infectious diarrhea like may be caused by some bacteria .So you should see your doctor for proper management. It's not only stopping the drug.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman,
