Should I Meet A Doctor After Accidentally Taking ADHD Medication?

I accidentally took my son's ADHD medication this morning. It's Vyvanse 40mg. I was taking my vitamins and inadvertently pick his pill up as it was sitting on the counter next to mine. Needless to say I won't do that again! I'm flying!!! My heart rate feels ok, I'm 46 physically fit and within a healthy weight range for my height I'm 5'10" and weigh 167lbs. I have a very dry mouth and feel a little "buzzed" should I go to the hospital or just wait it out?

Hi!
I had gone through your query and understand your concern.

Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) is a central nervous system stimulant. It affects chemicals in the brain and nerves that contribute to hyperactivity and impulse control.
Vyvanse is used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in adults and in children who are at least 6 years old.

If you took only one pill you don't need to worry, nothing will happen to you.
The effect of this drug will pass after a few hours and your body will be clear of this after a few hours.

Just be careful not to take the wrong drug any more.

Hope I was able to help you.
Take care.
