In lung tissue healing occurs in many ways, like fibrosis, calcification, bronchiectasis, normal healing etc. It is quite common to have fibrosis after heavy pneumonia and TB. Its natural process. No one predicts which disease ends with which healing method. And once fibrosis or calcification it will remain for the life time as it is. The indication for its removal is persistent infections in it.
