Should I Be Worried About The High Fever After MMR Shot?

My 9 month old baby girl took MMR shot recently , but after 2 days she got fever around 101 - 102 .When we visited the doctor he said it is viral fever and not any adverse reaction to MMR vaccine. So he prescribed her with Taxim - o, calpol, cetrizine syrup.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi.Thanks for writing on HCM.
MMR vaccine can cause a rash or fever in some children five to 12 days after the needle is given which may last for a few days. You may follow the prescription as advised by your MD with timely antipyretic medications.Observe your baby closely till the fever subsides.Nothing to panic. All the best.
