Should I Apply Heat Or Ice For Pulled Muscle?

I have pulled muscles (I think its the muscle) on my side. I was sitting on the floor and turned quickly to my right to grab my running grandson. Sharp pain. This happened a week and a half ago and still no healing.
What should I do to help this? apply heat or ice?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

I have studied your case.
As per your history of injury while doing exercises there is possibility of partial sprain tendon or muscle.

You can apply ice for pain relief.
I will advise you to do Ultrasonography and if required MRI if no relief.

You can consult physiotherapist for help.
Physiotherapy like ultrasound and matrix therapy will give quick healing of tissue.

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Wishing you good health.

Take care
