Should He Refill Medicine For Staphylococcus Infection?

My husband has staphylacaucus on his leg. Has taken Doxycycline hyclate100mg for 7 days. How do we know if he should have this prescription refilled . The wound on his leg is still open.. it is healing from the outside in but still a little blood comes from the center when I remove the bandage.

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Welcome and thanks for your query.
If the wound has not healed well, it would be better to continue the Doxycycline as stopping it prematurely can lead to worsening of the infection.
Please check with his doctor and if he agrees, do have the prescription refilled.
Do get back to me if you have further queries.
I find this answer helpful
