Should Endocrinologist Be Consulted For Drastic Weight Gain?

HI - In the past year I have gained over 20lbs and cannot lose the weight - I m active - I work out and hike every weekend and I ve had all kinds of bloodwork and tests done and everything came back normal except for bacterial growth in my stomach which I took an antibiotic for - my question is should I see and endo dr or what could be causing the weight gain ?

I understand your concern.
After going through the description, it appears that the problem with your weight gain could be due to hormonal changes happening. Hence, the hormonal levels needs to be assayed and then appropriate treatment for the cause needs to be instituted.
Hence, it would be ideal to consult Endocrinologist for proper clinical and laboratory evaluation for appropriate management.
