Should A Surgery Be Done For Meningioma While Suffering From Tinnitus And Tingling Sensation On The Feet?

My boyfriend has a left tentorial leaflet 8 mm meningioma with symptoms of tinnitus and tingling in his feet. He also suffered a tonic clinic seizure last week for which he was hospitalized in Neuro intensive care. He has no history of seizure or epileptic disease. He did ha ve a stroke 4 years ago but recovered well with minimal damage, only left eye has decreased peripheral vision. He wants to know should be have surgery for this mengioma? And what could be the expected outcome?

Hello,

For meningioma, surgery recovery may depend upon the stage and associated pressure symptoms on surrounding structure.

Early stage of meningioma surgery has good results. But how old is he?? Why he developed those symptoms like stroke or visual field defects??

So please consult your treating neurosurgeon he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
