Should A Spider Bite Wound Be Kept Covered?

Good day,
I was bitten by a sacred spider about a week ago, the DR gave me antibiotics (doxycyl 100mg) and Fucidin cream. Should I cover the bite wound with gauss or a plaster? Or should I leave it uncovered and just apply the cream more often? The wound is aprox. 10mm in length and 3mm deep

Hi,

You have been prescribed an antibiotic course and cream. For that, there is no need to cover the wound. You can just apply the cream over that. If pain and inflammation are present then anti-inflammatory drug can be prescribed additionally.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
