Should A Medical Check Up Be Done For A Swollen Lymph Node In A Child?

My 6 year old daughter is hot to the touch but has no fever. Her body is achy and she is very sleepy. I detect a swollen lymph nod on her left neck but she says it doesn't hurt to swallow. There is strep throat going around and I'm wondering if I should take her to get tested.

Hello and welcome to ask a doctor service. I reviewed your query and here is my answer.
You said she is hot to touch but no temperature, which means she is not febrile, hence this rules out infection as a cause of enlarged lymph nodes. Besides this, you said she is sleepy which means she is tired and weak as well. Since when she is like this and her lymph nodes are enlarged? If it is from a long time, then it could be chronic disorder for which she definitely needs to see a doctor and have some tests. But if it is acute then it might be due to sore throat.
Hope i answered your question. Feel free to ask if you need further assistance. Thanks.
