Should Neurontin Be Stopped Before Taking Lamictal?

I have taken neurontin at night for over ten years. I have had many of the bipolar symptoms so my psychiatrist started me on lamictal. Do you believe it would have been better to ween me from the neurontin first to see if my symptoms subsided. I was prescribed the neurontin for back pain. I have weened myself from taking three 600mg a day to 900mg at night

Neurontin and Lamictal doesn't have any interaction. So, it's not required to stop Neurontin before taking Lamictal.
