Should I Take Nexium For Stomach Ulcer Or Wait For An Endoscopy?

My GI doctor suspected I have an ulcer and started me on nexium. I get really bad stomach pains after I eat and they have gotten worse over the last couple days. My abdomen is very bloated and distended and it doesn't seem like the nexium and/or tums are providing any relief. I have an endoscopy scheduled for wendsday. Should I go to the ER to get an XRAY to rule anything else out or wait and see how I feel and after the endoscopy results?

Gastic Ulcer.
Yeah you continue the nexum it will help to reduce pain and decrease bloating.
if such patient came to me i will first rule out the cause
H.pylori is the main culprit for gastric ulcer
some NSAIDS
hypersecretry stage and stress also cause ulcer.
H-pylori test
FBC,LFTs,amylase and lipase level along with iron studies.
GI endoscopy helps to diagnose and take biopsies of a chronic ulcer.
H-pylori eradication therapy is also effectove after propmt diagnosis and treatment.
