Should I Take BP Medicines If BP Measures To Be 139/69?

38 yo overweight female. I went to workout tonight and checked my Bp before working out and it was 139/69. I took it again and it dropped to 121/77. This has happened a few times in the last 2 weeks. I have always had low blood pressure my entire adult life. This is the 1st time I ve had some concern. I have recently started working out again (rigorous cardio) after 1year of not due to full time stressful graduate school program. Please advise if I should start taking Bp meds.

Hi welcome to HCM
Blood pressure medication should be taken regularly without fail once started.Frequent fluctuations in blood pressure is due to irregularity in taking medication.Right now you may need a dose reduction of your anti hypertensive drug.So discuss this with your treatig doctor.Never stop taking medication until ypur doctor advices. Also monitor your blood pressure regularly.Get investigations like ECG,2D echo, lipid profile, blood sugars s a part of routine checkup.Start using lipid lowering drugs if you have abnormal lipids by discussing with your doctor.Consult your cardiologist for expert management.
Post your further queries if any.
Thankyou
