Should I Seek Medical Care For Severe Cough With Phlegm And Wheezing After Taking Deriphyllin Which Expired Four Months Ago?

Hi Doctor, I had double cough with phlegm and wheezing in the morning . I took deriphyllin retard 150 which I realized that it had expired before 4 months. Should I seek medical care ? My wheezing has reduced but I feel burning sensation around my right chest.

Hi,

You have not mentioned your age, any past medical or smoking history. Cough with phlegm and wheezing needs to be evaluated thoroughly. Don't take Deriphylline Retard, rather physician consultation is advised, RS examination needs to be done. If needed, chest X-ray should be done n should be treated accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
